2020 Brian Knull Memorial Scholarship

It's that time of year again – the time when CANTERRA SEEDS takes an opportunity to support youth starting a career in agriculture, while celebrating the legacy of a man who left a big mark through his 40-year career in Canadian ag.

About the Brian Knull Memorial Scholarship

We are very lucky to be able to pay tribute every year to our colleague and good friend Brian Knull through the Brian Knull Memorial Scholarship, dedicated in his memory.

The Brian Knull Memorial Scholarship was created in 2018 by CANTERRA SEEDS and the Knull Family to encourage rural students to continue with their education at a post-secondary institution.

  1. a Canadian citizen,
  2. an Alberta resident, and
  3. be registered in an undergraduate program at an accredited post-secondary institution.

Remembering our Colleague and Friend

For those of us that knew BK, we know that he had a passion for the agriculture industry and influenced many people within it. He had traditional small town values: he believed in a good handshake, a good laugh and good cold beer. Brian was more than just a great seedsman for our company – he brougth experience, leadership and good old dry humour to our crew.

What the man may have lacked on the go cart track, he made up for tenfold in sales tracker. This initiative is a reminder to us every year about what a strong impact Brian has left on our business, our people and our industry.

If you're looking to start your career in Candian agriculture, or you know someone who wants to make an impact on the ag industry like our friend Brian did, please submit an application form and supporting documents to CANTERRA SEEDS (by mail or email) by October 30, 2020.
