About Brian Kennedy

Brian has been a part of the CANTERRA SEEDS team since February 2022 as the Pedigreed Seed Territory Manager for Alberta. His journey has led him through a variety of different positions all over the globe. Prior to starting at CANTERRA SEEDS, Brian spent over 8 years at Alberta Wheat as the Grower Relations and Extension Manager, where he made valuable connections with seed growers all over Alberta. He also worked at TEKSystems (Chicago) for 18 months on a technology rollout project in Canada. In a previous life, he was also a Visiting Professor in at Kyushu Institute of Technology and was on staff at 3 other post-secondary institutions in Kyushu, Japan.

Brian grew up in Manitoba, where his love for the outdoors blossomed, including hiking and cycling. As a father of three adult children, he cherishes family time and enjoys exploring his surroundings with his camera in hand, capturing the world around him. He holds a B.S.A from the University of Manitoba and contributes to Getty Images as a photographer. He is also fluent in Japanese!
